Woodpeckers and pests
The most powerful insect catcher in the forest is the woodpecker. Look, the woodpecker flew to this branch. Steel-like claws clawed at the branches, chisel-like beaks pecked at the bark, and a fat and large caterpillar was eaten by the woodpecker. There was another cheer. At that time, a little green worm came by with a gold bar on his back and pretended to be polite, saying, “Mr. Woodpecker, our bodies are so dirty, and you are so noble. How can I bear such abuses? I have a gold bar here, you can use it as you like.” The woodpecker picked up the gold bar with a smile, said, “Thank you,” and flew away without looking back.
The woodpecker took the gold bar and went to the luxurious Forest Seafood Restaurant to feast on it. In the blink of an eye, a year has passed, and the woodpecker’s gold bars have been used up. By now he is so fat that he even has trouble flying. By this time the beetles, cicadas and aphids had already covered the whole forest, but just as he was about to catch the pests, they fell down, and after a long time he could not catch a single pest. They crawled up and down and stuck their tongues out at him from time to time: “Silly bird, fly up, will not you eat me? Flightless bird, fly up, I’ll wait for you.” “You are a chicken.
